THE MISSION
OF DIRECT AUDIO

The mission of DIRECTAUDIO goes far beyond just selling speakers. We will develop your individual state-of-the-art speaker from first draft to finished product. Our customers are music lovers with a demand for exceptional sound and visual art. We aim for our speakers to deliver a live music experience in your own living room, by translating rich and colorful sounds from your favorite artist.

Construction of cabinet:

Our individualized offers include design preferences, optimization of room positioning as well as compatibility with further electronic devices. To avoid vibrations transfering from the woofer to the cabinet housing, we use compact, solid materials, which are stiffened from the inside of the housing and additionally damped with rubber absorbers. Through placing the speakers on spikes or springs we avoid unwanted resonance from the ground and recurring vibrations from returning to the speaker. Special damping treatment also ensure a clean sound performance.

The Audio Crossover:

The audio crossover is the cornerstone of speaker art and often underrated. Your speaker’s performance is highly depending on the quality of the audio crossover. At DIRECT AUDIO we only use crossovers of first order.

FOR THE CROSSOVER

A first-order crossover is unique in that it offers the minimum phase error through the crossover region between the two drive-units, hence the best time-domain behavior (least ringing and overshoot). The drive-units also work in phase outside of the crossover region in a time-coherent manner; ie, they are both in phase and in time-step with the input signal.
